The Shops at Liberty Place took center stage for The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia Annual Red Kettle Kick-Off!
The Red Kettle campaign, which runs across the region throughout the holiday season, aims to raise funds for vital programs and services that have shared hope with those in need for more than 135 years.
The center atrium was filled with holiday music, red kettles, festive spirit and the smell of delicious soup on November 16, as hundreds of shoppers celebrated the season of giving with us.
Big thanks to our broadcast partners for their helping making this event a huge success! – emcee John DeBell from WMGK-FM radio, CBS 3’s Meisha Johnson, Fox 29’s Chris O’Connell, Karen Hepp, Bill Anderson and Shawnette Wilson, NBC 10’s Jessica Boyington, and 6abc’s Ducis Rodgers! Our local TV news personalities served free soup to passersby, made by students in our Soup’s On! Project and our brass band entertained the crowd with festive holiday music.
The iconic tradition of bell ringers and red kettles is the most recognizable fundraising effort for The Salvation Army. All donations collected throughout the annual holiday campaign fund programs that provide opportunities in underserved neighborhoods and change lives year round. Thank you for all of your support this holiday season and 365 days a year!
