Hundreds of families in need were treated to a Christmas extravaganza thanks to our friends at Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo partnered with The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia to host a huge holiday party at Xfinity Live! for 150 local families, approximately 400 individuals, on Friday, December 23. The fun and festive event turned Xfinity Live into a Christmas fantasy land. The party featured Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, elves, arts and crafts, games, food and beverages, five ponies and a Wells Fargo Stage Coach.
Holiday party guests are clients of The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia’s Red Shield transitional housing program, The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center of Philadelphia, and The Salvation Army Norristown’s housing program. Dozens of Wells Fargo team members, including local senior leaders, were on-hand for the party, some in costume, to create an amazing celebration for the youth and their families.
Following the holiday party, the families were treated to a free Disney on Ice performance at the Wells Fargo Center.
Since 1879, The Salvation Army has provided assistance during the holiday season to enable the less fortunate to celebrate Christmas. The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia anticipates serving more than 20,000 Philadelphians with holiday meals, gifts and basic necessities this year.
