Hundreds of families in need were treated to a Christmas extravaganza thanks to our friends at Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo partnered with The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia to host a huge holiday party at Xfinity Live! for 150 local families, approximately 400 individuals, on Friday, December 23. The fun and festive event turned Xfinity Live into a Christmas fantasy land. Some 200 runners and walkers hit the road on Saturday October 1 for the second annual She’s My Sister Human Trafficking Awareness 5K. The event, organized by Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, aimed to raise awareness and to support The Salvation Army’s local anti-human trafficking efforts.

Fairmount Park. Fundraising by Enon’s anti-human trafficking ministry, along with all proceeds from the event, directly support The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia’s New Day to Stop Trafficking program.
Despite a deluge of rain to kick off the morning – an army of volunteers descended on The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia on September 19. 500 employees of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) put their regular office jobs to the side, rolled up their sleeves and volunteered their time and talents for a Day of Service. PwC volunteers worked on projects at six Salvation Army building across the city – including painting the iconic Salvation Army red kettles, landscaping and grounds clean-up, building maintenance, warehouse cleaning and sorting of holiday toys, as well as fun and interactive activities with older adults living at Salvation Army senior housing complexes. On Thursday, September 22, The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia will gather with hundreds of members of the community to celebrate more than 150 years of global service to those in need, raise awareness of its local programs and services and to honor two local leaders for their commitment to the betterment of the City of Philadelphia.
